Artist Statement

Painting is a personal communication between artist and viewer.  This language has many dialects and styles of speech.  They all have in common the desire to communicate on an emotional and/or intellectual level.

So it is with me and the viewer.  My dialect is color.  I am fascinated with its ability to describe form, to evoke an emotional response; its exciting lushness.  All my varied subjects have color as the common thread.  To me it is the reason to speak in the language of paint and why the visual world is so full of wonder.
